7th Annual Founders Pickleball Tournament to Take Place Aug. 5-9 at Battle Point Park

It’s back. In a few short weeks, players and fans return to Bainbridge Island for the 7th Annual Founders Tournament, held August 5–9 at Battle Point Park. The tournament celebrates the birthplace of pickleball while raising funds to support the Bainbridge History Museum.

Hosted on the island where pickleball was invented in 1965, the Founders Tournament welcomes players of all skill levels for five days of competition, community, and fun. Referees will officiate all medal-level contests.

Tournament Details
August 5, 2026 – Senior Mixed Doubles 60-69 / 70+
August 6, 2026 – Senior Men’s and Women’s Doubles 60-69/70+
August 7, 2026 – Women’s Doubles Ages: 5-49/50-59
August 8, 2026 – Mixed Doubles Ages: 5-49/50/59
August 9, 2026 – Men’s Doubles Ages: 5-49/50-59
Founders Courts at Battle Point Park

Skill levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0

Age divisions will be created based upon registration – this “flexible” bracketing will allow the tournament to have divisions with one pool and a 4-game minimum. Learn more about the tournament details: 2026 Founders Tournament
