Side Quest Stage at Rolling Bay Hall: A New Local Arts Venue for Comedy, Theater, and Interactive Adventures

Kate Henderson, a familiar face in Bainbridge Island’s arts community, has announced the opening of Side Quest Stage, a dynamic new venue dedicated to live performances, comedy, and immersive experiences at Rolling Bay Hall.
Taking over the space from WEAVE Presents, Side Quest Stage is set to become the island’s destination for local comedians, improv troupes, dramatic productions, and creative events. The venue is also available to rent for special occasions, workshops, and community gatherings.
“We’re looking forward to creating a space that nurtures creativity, laughter, and a sense of adventure right here on Bainbridge Island,” says Henderson. “We’ll feature a full lineup of comedy, improv, and theater productions by local talent, as well as workshops and special events designed to engage the community.”
ADVERTISEMENTS:
Side Quest Stage’s official opening night is Friday, December 13, featuring Bainbridge Improv Collective’s Improvised Victorian Holiday Ghost Stories. The fun begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at the above link.
Henderson brings a wealth of experience in both performing arts and nonprofit management to Side Quest Stage. A member of The Edge Improv troupe at Bainbridge Performing Arts, she is also Membership & Volunteer Manager at Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN) and formerly served as Events Manager at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. With her deep commitment to fostering community and creativity, Henderson says she is looking forward to shaping Side Quest Stage into a welcoming hub for artists and audiences alike.
One unique feature of Side Quest Stage will be live, role-playing game (RPG) nights featuring popular tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons. These events will blend traditional theater with interactive gameplay, creating unforgettable stories with the audience directly participating in the adventures.
“We’re thrilled to offer gaming workshops for kids through Bainbridge Island Adventurer’s Guild, and are working on presenting games for adults,” Henderson says. “We’ll provide an inviting black box space where beginners and seasoned players alike can dive into unique, interactive storytelling adventures.”
In addition to providing a rich program of live performances, Side Quest Stage will also offer a versatile rental venue for a variety of community events, workshops, and celebrations. For those seeking a workspace within this creative environment, Side Quest Stage has three office spaces currently available for lease, ideal for individuals or businesses looking to be part of the Bainbridge Island arts scene.
