Bainbridge Arts & Crafts Announces New Executive Director Jennifer Albrecht; Party for Parks on tap August 1st

After almost closing its doors this past December, Bainbridge Arts & Crafts (BAC) is pleased to announce that Jennifer Albrecht has accepted the position of Bainbridge Arts & Crafts Executive Director.

Albrecht follows Susan Jackson, who was BAC’s Executive Director from 2003 to 2015 and “who graciously came out of retirement to serve as volunteer interim executive director until BAC could recover financially from its near-death experience,” said BAC Board President Ellin Spenser.

“Thanks to Susan’s hard work, a dedicated board of both old and new BAC supporters, and an outpouring of financial contributions from its community, BAC is entering its 77th year as a visual arts gallery and arts education nonprofit with new energy and a renewed mission to cultivate a community where art and artists thrive,” Spencer added.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

“We’re so grateful for Susan Jackson’s incredible support and creative energy this year,” Spenser continued. “The search for an incoming leader who could not only nurture BAC’s legacy but also steer it in exciting new directions was a responsibility the board took very seriously. We’re thrilled to welcome Jen Albrecht, whose commitment to deepening BAC’s connections with the community — artists and art lovers alike — will help carry us into our next exciting stage of growth.”

Albrecht brings over two decades of business leadership, strategic planning experience, and team building expertise to BAC. She and her family made Bainbridge Island their home 10 years ago, and she is looking forward to strengthening her ties to Bainbridge Island’s vibrant cultural community.

“Art has the power to spark curiosity, conversation, and connection and BAC is uniquely positioned to do all three,” says Albrecht. “I’m excited to partner with the staff, board, and community to build on this incredible legacy and contribute to a bold, inclusive future for the arts on Bainbridge.”

She will be assisted by BAC’s experienced staff and volunteers and by a newly formed BAC curatorial committee of local artists and art leaders.
