Bainbridge Island Holiday Events Guide (Updated) – Here’s a Rundown of What’s Happening  from November 17th through December 11th!

November 17, 2023 - Winney Farm, IVC Community Meal, Manor House Concerts, Fall Work Party, Kiwanis Holiday WreathORDER YOUR HOLIDAY TURKEY NOW! Winney Farm has fresh birds for your holiday feast, visit their online ordering system here.

THE ISLAND HOLIDAY COMMUNITY MEAL PROJECT – order deadline for December 22nd meals is Monday, December 11th! This year, the project is expanding its reach to include even more people. In addition to its traditional meal deliveries, the project will again offer a dine-in option at Saint Cecilia’s Catholic Church from 11:30am to 1:30pm. The project is a collaboration led by compassionate and dedicated community volunteer Laura Van Dyke, Island Volunteer Caregivers (IVC), Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center, and Sportsman’s Club. Sign-up sheets, for both dine-in and delivered meals, are available at IVC, Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center, Helpline House, Winslow Arms, Finch Place, and Virginia Villa. 

NOW through DECEMBER 31ST: MANOR HOUSE CONCERT SERIES at Pleasant Beach Village – multiple dates throughout November and December. Click here for details and tickets.

NOVEMBER 18TH – Conservation Work Party at Gazzam Lake Preserve – Join the Bainbridge Island Metro Park and Recreation District, and the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation. Projects will include removing invasive species, building habitat, and planting native plants. From 10am to 12pm – for more information click here.

NOVEMBER 18TH through DECEMBER 10TH – Kiwanis Club Holiday Wreaths – Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays from noon-3pm. Pick up at the entrance to Rite-Aid in Island Village. The Kiwanis Club of Bainbridge Island Foundation funds BHS scholarships, All Comers Track Meets, Educator of the Year, Key Club and Builders Club and much more! November 17, 2023 - BARN Bazaar, Click for a Cause, BIYO Fall Concert, Helpline House Turkey Trot, KiDiMu Sock Skating

NOVEMBER 18th: BARN BAZAAR returns – from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Buy direct from the maker at this annual celebration of the creativity that happens at BARN. From jewelry to wood arts, basketry to weaving, you’ll find an unmatched selection of original hand-crafted items. Kick off the holidays in homegrown style for a day of shopping, food, and community!

NOVEMBER 19TH – HOLIDAY DOG PHOTOS presented by Aunty Mins and Felkey Creative Services, LL – PAWS fundraiser @ Battle Point Park Picnic Shelter – Calling all proud dog parents! Capture the pawfect moment and support our local PAWS at the same time! With 100% of the ticket price going to our furry friends in need, you can make a difference this holiday season. NOVEMBER 19TH: BAINBRIDGE ISLAND YOUTH ORCHESTRA FALL CONCERT –- Performances by the Debut, Symphonic, and Chamber Orchestras of the Bainbridge Island Youth Orchestra, led by Justine Jeanotte, Debut Conductor, and Nathan Rødahl, Music Director. NOVEMBER 23RD: HELPLINE HOUSE TURKEY TROT – Helpline House’s 14th Annual Turkey Trot invites runners and walkers of all ages to start their Thanksgiving with a 5K/1M Fun Run or to Volunteer at the Trot!  Race Day at Battle Point Park’s Transmitter Building from 7:30am – 8:30am. NOVEMBER 24th: KiDiMu SOCK SKATING – Come slip and slide on KiDiMu’s faux skating rink. Take off your shoes and skate along the slippery surface in your socks. Click here for more details.

November 17, 2023 - Free Holly for the Holidays Weed Warriors, Finding Fresh Bainbridge Coat Drive, Shop Small Saturday BIDA, BIDA Tree Lighting, Bainbridge Island-Suyematsu Farms Santa VisitsNOVEMBER 24th: FREE HOLLY FOR THE HOLIDAYS – Weed Warriors will trim and tag small, medium, and large bundles the day after Thanksgiving, from 1pm – 3pm at Battle Point Park Picnic Shelter. Volunteers on Friday get the best “pick” of the holly to take home. Weed Warriors will distribute free holly at Town and Country Market Saturday, Nov. 25, 10 am, and explaining why holly is bad (one of the top 3 invasive plants on BI), what to plant instead (Oregon grape), and how to dispose of it (berries go in trash).  For more information contact jfranks1@comcast.net or text 206-755-8461.

NOVEMBER 24TH – CHRISTMAS TREES at Bainbridge Island/Suyematsu FarmsLocated at their Manzanita Road Christmas Tree Farm. Pre-Cut and U-Cut Christmas trees are available for sale the day after Thanksgiving until sold out. Sizes range from 3- to 12-feet. All Christmas trees are charged by the foot. They also offer fresh wreaths, garland, holiday arrangements, holly, and more. For hours, please check their Facebook page here.

NOVEMBER 24TH through JANUARY 2ND – COAT DRIVE brought to you by Finding Fresh Bainbridge. Bring your gently used coats, gloves, knit caps, and warm clothing to T&C Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo and deposit in the large red boxes (donated by Bainbridge Self-Storage). All donations will be hand delivered to Fishline after throughout the collection period.

NOVEMBER 25TH – SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY – Small Business Saturday is November 25th! Shop small in Winslow and support our downtown eateries and storefronts!

NOVEMBER 25TH – DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING at the Town Square from 6pm – 7pm. The event will include band and choir music, Nutcracker Ballet snippets, Santa and smores with the Bainbridge Island Police Department and more.

Stop by KiDiMu or Little Island Crafts and add your message to the giant paper chain that will adorn the community tree (write your name, a message, the date and whatever you would like to share).

NOVEMBER 25TH & 26TH: SANTA VISITS at the Manzanita FarmBainbridge Island/Suyematsu Farms –Santa arrives at the Farm every year in their vintage 1949 Dodge Truck, staying around for photos with your 2- and 4-legged friends and family members. Saturday, November 25th & Sunday, November 26th from 12pm-4pm

NOVEMBER 24TH, 25TH and DECEMBER 2ND and 16TH – SANTA VISITS Manor House at Pleasant Beach Village – 11am to 3pm – this is a free event and everyone is welcome!

NOVEMBER 25TH through DECEMBER 23RD: MANOR HOUSE 2023 GINGERBREAD HOUSE PARTY ~ Pleasant Beach Village. This holiday classic is back again in all its sugary-sweet, glittery glory. Build your own gingerbread dream house and sip on complimentary hot cider, or the bar will be open with festive hot and cold holiday beverages for purchase. BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FARMER’S MARKET runs through NOVEMBER 25TH – Grab some holiday gifts and wonderful food – the Market is open on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm at Town Square until November 25th.

DECEMBER 1ST through DECEMBER 11TH (or until supplies run out) – Gingerbread Houses at KiDiMu – Visit KiDiMu to design and build your own gingerbread house! Graham crackers, icing, and candy will be provided.

November 17, 2023 - BIMA Winter Night Market, Ovation! Cinderella, Amabile Choir SonDECEMBER 1ST and 2ND – BIMA’S WINTER NIGHT MARKET – Join them on the plaza for lights, music, food, and shopping—enjoy vendors from all over the PNW! The event includes: DIY activities for all ages, Live music & performances, Holiday themed drinks for all ages, Keep warm in one of our fire pit zones, FREE movies in the BIMA auditorium, FREE photo booth…and more!

DECEMBER 1st through 17th – DISNEY’S “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST” presented by Bainbridge Performing Arts – Pay-What-You-Can Preview Night: Thursday, November 30 – Dive into the magic this December with BPA’s captivating production of Disney’s “Beauty and The Beast”. Journey to a whimsical French village and experience Belle’s daring adventure as she exchanges her freedom to save her father from the Beast, a prince under a spell. Buy tickets here.

DECEMBER 1ST (7:30pm) AND DECEMBER 2ND (3pm & 7:30pm) AMABILE CHOIR presents SONGS FOR A WINTER’S NIGHT at Bethany Lutheran Church- The program includes songs celebrating our various holiday traditions, both sacred and secular, including Gordon Lightfoot’s “Song for Winter’s Night”, Vivaldi’s “Gloria”, Ivo Antognini’s “Christe Redemptor Omnium” and a selection of traditional and modern arrangements of your favorite Christmas carols and Hanukkah songs. Olympic Serenade Quartet will be accompanied by Katrina Noble on piano and other local musicians will join them. DECEMBER 1ST through DECEMBER 23RD – ELVES ON THE SHOP SHELVES – Join the search for Downtown Elves on Shelves! 32 participating stores will have Elf “bingo cards” available to elf sleuths, to locate the hidden elves in their stores. When you find the elf, head to that store’s checkout desk and you’ll get a stamp that you’ve found their elf. Find 10 or more, and bring your card down to Calico Toy Shoppe by December 23 2023, to enter a drawing on December 24th to win a special gift!

DECEMBER 1ST, 2ND and 3RD – BAINBRIDGE ISLAND WINTER STUDIO TOUR – With 48 juried artists in five venues, this art event offers quality, hand-crafted art, where you can meet the artist and buy directly from them. This is the 40th anniversary for the Winter Tour, and they are celebrating with a huge gift basket raffle at each studio, no purchase necessary.

This free, self-guided tour takes place from 10am to 5pm each day, and you will find a variety of art mediums, such as metal work, jewelry, pottery, paintings, fiber, mixed media, photography, garden art, and glass. For a map of the venues, click here.

DECEMBER 2ND through DECEMBER 31ST – WINTER WONDERS at BLOEDEL RESERVE – Winter Wonders is a fun, community oriented, outdoor Bloedel Reserve tradition designed to get you in the holiday spirit. Enjoy a wintry walk through the gardens and pause at the Residence to enjoy festive decorations, photo opportunities, and community-oriented activities. For times and tickets, click here.

DECEMBER 3rdBAINBRIDGE YOUTH CHOIR is hosting a holiday concert, “In the Dazzling Darkness,” at 3 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Their three youth choirs will be performing, and everyone in the community is welcome (free admission). DECEMBER 11TH – CRESCENDO PUBLIC CONCERTCelebrate the season!  7pm at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church, 11042 Sunrise Drive NE, Bainbridge Island. Enjoy a joyful mix of seasonal songs, Broadway tunes, standards and more. Wendi Olinger directs this group, with accompaniment by Catherine Benson. Admission is free, but donations are happily accepted!
