The event takes place on December 3rd, 4th and 5th from 10am to 5pm each day and is a self-guided tour of each venue.
This event offers quality, hand-crafted art, where you can meet the artist and buy directly from them. A variety of mediums will be available, such as jewelry, pottery, paintings, fiber, mixed media, photography, and glass. The artists have worked to create new works, incorporating new methods, styles, and raw materials. Some of the unique artforms include: detailed paper cut designs, whimsical fairies & frogs, Nuno felted wearables, tall metal water towers, steam-bent wood, and repurposed metal yard art.
Brochures can be found around town, and on the Studio Tour website – click here for details. The site includes a Featured Artist page with artist interviews, videos, and behind-the-scenes photos of the artists in their studios, hard at work. It’s a great way to see some of the “magic” and hear what the artists are thinking and what inspires them. Each week a new artist is featured, and archives are available to view past interviews & videos.
Spotlight Page: The artists offer one specially selected piece for sale on the Spotlight Page, and these are often a one-of-a-kind deal – click here for details.
“What a joy to work with these super talented and creative artists,” said Tour Manager, Dinah Satterwhite. “I am always amazed to find new artists, right in our own backyard. And I love seeing the regular artists and their latest creations. These past two years have really pushed everyone to new heights.”
Artists in the Winter Tour this year include many familiar faces, along with some fantastic new additions, such as Sandi Bilinski, who works with acrylics and Erin DeLargy, who creates lovely and unique sterling silver jewelry.
