Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) is thrilled to present its much-anticipated production, “The Book of Will,” set to enchant and entertain audiences through March 24. This combination of heartfelt drama and hilarious comedy, penned by the talented Lauren Gunderson, celebrates the unsung heroes who fought to preserve the legacy of one of history’s greatest playwrights, William Shakespeare, after his death.

The Book of Will“The Book of Will” is a testament to the enduring power of friendship, love, and the written word. It tells the story of John Heminges and Henry Condell, two of Shakespeare’s fellow actors, who embark on a seemingly impossible mission: to gather, edit, and publish the First Folio of Shakespeare’s works. Their dedication ensures that Shakespeare’s words survive the test of time, securing his legacy for future generations.

Directed by Kate Meyers, this production features a cast of Kitsap’s finest actors who bring to life the humor, the struggle, and the profound dedication of those who ensured the bard’s words were never forgotten.
