Final Booster Clinic Set for this coming Saturday, Dec. 11
If you were hoping to get a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot this coming Saturday, you’re sort of, kind of, out of luck. Right now, appointments are full for the final vaccine booster clinic of 2021 that is slated for Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Commodore Options School lower gym.
Per usual, the clinic is organized by a partnership comprising the City of Bainbridge Island, the Bainbridge Island Fire Department and Bainbridge Prepares.
Anyone 18 and older is eligible for a booster as long as it has been six months from their second dose of Moderna or Pfizer (June 11) or two months from the single dose of Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) (October 11).
If you were a procrastinator and didn’t sign up in time for the booster, you still may be able to sneak under the tent. Officials recommend checking the TimeTap page [https://covidbi.timetap.com/#/] in case any appointments become available.
You can double-check your COVID-19 vaccine appointment time by visiting https://vaccinelocator.doh.wa.gov/. The city has not yet indicated when vaccine clinics might resume again on the island.
