First Friday Art Walk – August 6, 2021
Winslow Way and surrounding area, Downtown Bainbridge Island
First Friday of every month, 6-8 PM
Although the First Friday Art Walk will be a bit different than it was pre-pandemic, you can still enjoy an evening experiencing all that downtown Bainbridge has to offer. Many galleries, shops and businesses will be participating this month showcasing the art of our talented creative community. Afterwards, stop by one of our many restaurants for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, or dinner.
Enjoy a summer evening with a stroll through downtown visiting your favorite businesses and restaurants, shopping for gifts or items for yourself and your home. The walk begins on Winslow Way (near the ferry terminal) from 6pm to 8pm. *Please adhere to WA State Covid guidelines, as well as guidelines instituted by individual businesses.
Jeffrey Moose Gallery will be showcasing the “Dreamed and Still Dreaming” exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dot Paintings, which first emerged from indigenous artists of Australia’s Central Desert. Works by Pauline Napangardi – Lukarra Kukurrpa/Desert Fringe-rush Seed acrylic on canvas will be on display. In addition, the Jeffrey Moose Gallery will be celebrating their 26th anniversary as well. The gallery is located at 181 Winslow Way E, Suite F.
Bergh Images Fine Art Photography will be showcasing works
from Andy and partner, Carol’s travels through Italy – Florence, Siena and Venice. The images will be displayed in different mediums, including fine art acrylic, metal, and canvas prints. The gallery is located at 400 Winslow Way E, Suite 115.
Bainbridge Arts & Crafts (BAC) will be showcasing their “Illuminations” exhibit by three artists: Keke Cribbs, Janis Miltenberger, and Cynthia Toops. The gallery is located at 151 Winslow Way E.
Windermere Real Estate will be showcasing the work of collage artist, Meg Hartwell. They are located at 249 Winslow Way E, Suite 400.
Covet Boutique and Island Life Artisan Gifts will feature the works of Larry Weiner. Covet is located at 278 Winslow Way E, Suite 109, and Island Life Artisan Gifts is located at 424 Winslow Way E.
A new addition this month is the MOONLIGHT MARKET at Town Square from 5pm to 9pm.
“Where the community comes together in the spirit of celebration, curiosity, and connection. Moonlight Market is a free-to-the-public market to celebrate the arts. Shop a curated mix of artists, makers, creatives, ceramics, jewelry, house plants, vintage clothes, home goods, and more. Enjoy food, beverages from the Pub’s airstream. Music set curated by Sam Kelly Jr. (DJ Instant Nostalgia).”
While visiting the Moonlight Market, stop at the Bainbridge Quilt Guild booth to pick up your tickets for their annual Quilt Festival, which takes place September 11th from 10am to 4pm.

Fob Fridays – many local businesses downtown are participants in Fob Fridays (Bainbridge Island Senior/Community Center members receive 10% on Fridays with their BISCC fob).
