First Friday Art Walk – March 3, 2023
Winslow Way and surrounding area, Downtown Bainbridge Island
First Friday of every month, 6 to 8 PM
Spend an evening experiencing all that downtown Bainbridge has to offer. Many galleries, shops and businesses will be participating this month showcasing the art of our talented creative community. Afterwards, stop by one of our many restaurants for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, or dinner.
Enjoy an evening with a stroll through downtown visiting your favorite businesses and restaurants, shopping for gifts or items for yourself and your home. The walk begins on Winslow Way (near the ferry terminal) from 6PM to 8PM, see below for a taste of what some of our local businesses are doing:
Jeffrey Moose Gallery is proud to exhibit painter and Bainbridge Island High School art teacher, Mary Rowland. Mary’s work will be on exhibit at the Gallery throughout the month of March. Mary received a BA from Macalester College, St. Paul, MN and an MEd from Arizona State University, and has taught at BHS since 2003. When not teaching, she is painting or printmaking in her second story studio out on Point No Point in Hansville, with an expansive view on Puget Sound towards Whidbey Island. Birds and other critters make it into her compositions frequently, but so do humans, sometimes as portraits, sometimes as outlines. The Gallery is located at 181 Winslow Way East, Suite F.
Bergh Images Fine Art Photography – While March has a plethora of special occasions – St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) and National Goof Off Day (March 22) immediately come to mind – what’s really singular about next month is the “threefer” on March 3rd. First, it’s the lovely Carol Bergh’s birthday. Second, it’s First Friday Art Walk. And third, it’s the start of Bergh Images’ clearance sale with amazing reductions on almost all of their in-gallery inventory. All custom-matted prints will be 60% off, while all metal/canvas/acrylic prints and all custom-framed black and white prints will be 40% off. Visitors can mirthfully enjoy wine and small bites while contemplating options for any unused wall space at their home or office! The special focus will be “Oregon Coast,” as owner/photographer Andy Bergh will be highlighting some of his stunning shots from Cannon Beach. The gallery is located at 400 Winslow Way E, Suite 115.
