First Friday Art Walk – October 7, 2022
Winslow Way and surrounding area, Downtown Bainbridge Island
First Friday of every month, 6 to 8 PM
Spend an evening experiencing all that downtown Bainbridge has to offer. Many galleries, shops and businesses will be participating this month showcasing the art of our talented creative community. Afterwards, stop by one of our many restaurants for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, or dinner.
Enjoy an evening with a stroll through downtown visiting your favorite businesses and restaurants, shopping for gifts or items for yourself and your home. The walk begins on Winslow Way (near the ferry terminal) from 6PM to 8PM, see below for a taste of what some of our local businesses are doing:
Jeffrey Moose Gallery is deeply honored
to present the Jazz photographs of San Francisco photographer, filmmaker, writer and social activist Jerry Stoll for the months of October and November. A reception will be held on First Friday, October 7th, from 6 to 8PM. A Facebook livestream will broadcast from 5:20-5:40. A second event will take place on First Friday, November 4th, 6 to 8PM. The gallery is located at 181 Winslow Way East, Suite F.
Bergh Images Fine Art Photography – With the Seattle Mariners having ended their 21-year drought from post-season play, there is much to rejoice this month besides Halloween and the upcoming First Friday Art Walk (Oct. 7).
For starters, how about National Kick Butt Day (Oct. 10) – go, Mariners! – and National Grouch Day (Oct. 15) for the fans of whatever team gets their butts kicked by Julio & Gang! To help celebrate, Bergh Images will have a month-long sale on custom-matted prints (20% off); custom-framed B&W prints (15% off); and any single metal, acrylic, or canvas print (10% off). Wine, small bites, and live music (courtesy of their neighbor Furnish Bainbridge) will be provided, along with the usual drawing for two complimentary 18×24 matted prints ($120 value). The special focus this month is “Pink Sky,” as owner/photographer Andy Bergh will be highlighting some of his stunning images of local sunrises and sunsets. The gallery is located at 400 Winslow Way E, Suite 115.
Bainbridge Arts & Crafts (BAC) – will be opening their “Fresh Talent 2” Exhibition, featuring 27 artists, all of which are new to the gallery. They will
also be showing collaborative glass works by Jennifer Caldwell and Jason Chakravarty, and lead crystal sculptures by Steve Jensen as part of “Refract: The Seattle Glass Experience.” Check out refractseattle.org for more information. KidiMu – Join KiDiMu for First Friday Art Walk on Friday, from 1 to 7PM! All kids and kids at heart are invited to come create art and play. This month they will be exploring the art work of Henri Matisse and creating paper collage inspired by his work! This is a FREE event, click here for tickets. Furnish Bainbridge – will feature artist Corinne Carbonne, wine, small bites and live music. They are located at 400 Winslow Way East, Suite 110.
Millstream – will feature the work of artist Christopher Mathie. In addition, Millstream art gallery and store carries a wide variety of unique artwork, clothing, glass and ceramics, décor, jewelry and more. All pieces are created by local artists as well as artists throughout the Pacific Northwest. They are located at 122 Winslow Way E.
Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty – Presents Origin Stories – Donna Cohen Solo Show. “Plunge headlong into my Origin Stories, with inspiration from a variety of broad-minded cultures and visually-narrative mythologies and awesome science that relentlessly discovers things it does not understand and imagines things it cannot discover.” They are located at 240 Winslow Way E.
