Secure Your Legacy: Free Estate Planning and Charitable Giving Workshop

By Jennifer Hemmingsen

The thought of estate planning can evoke a mix of apprehension and avoidance. It’s a task often relegated to the “someday” pile, overshadowed by the busyness of daily life.

But estate planning isn’t just a good idea; it’s an act of love and responsibility. It’s a way to ensure that your legacy, loved ones, and wishes are protected and respected after you are gone.

On Tuesday, April 23, Dorothy K. Foster, a seasoned expert in estate planning and nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, will lead a free workshop laying out the essentials of estate planning and charitable giving. This short workshop will include a comprehensive overview of estate planning essentials, delving into key aspects such as wills, living trusts, beneficiary designations, and gift/estate tax planning.

The workshop is free and open to the public, made possible through a collaboration between BARN and the Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center.
