“Set Sail into History”: A Journey Around Bainbridge Island with Narrator David B William – July 21st

Whether petroglyphs and pickleball, street dances and shipbuilding, berries and the Buy Nothing Project, canoes and Coast Artillery Corps, industries and immigration, cookbooks and Chilly Hilly bike rides, Bainbridge holds an astounding—and storied—history for an island our size.

Discover the tales of Bainbridge Island’s past aboard the “Set Sail into History” cruise, set to embark on July 21st, 2024, from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. This immersive experience will be narrated by author, naturalist, and tour guide, David B. Williams, offering participants a deeper understanding of the island’s human and natural history.

His award-winning book, “Home waters: A Human and Natural History of Puget Sound,” serves as the inspiration for his narratives, which are both witty and deeply informed.

Lunch will be catered by Wanderlust NW Catering Co. Known for their commitment to using locally sourced ingredients, Wanderlust NW Catering Co. will delight participants with a culinary experience that perfectly complements the scenic beauty of the surroundings. A cash bar will be available.
