Submit Your Best Poetry About Your Favorite Critter for the 2025 Poetry Corners Exhibit
You may be a poet and don’t know it. Community members of all ages are invited to submit poems for this year’s Poetry Corners exhibit. Submissions are due March 1.
This year’s theme is “All Creatures Great and Small.” Organizers are looking for poems about—or by—a pet, backyard visitor, or any other critter that inspires you!
Selected poems will be exhibited on posters along Winslow Way during April, National Poetry Month, and also appear in the Poetry Corners 2025 Anthology.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
The Poetry Corners LIVE event will be held at BIMA (Bainbridge Island Museum of Art) on Saturday afternoon, April 26th, 2 to 4 p.m.
Now in its 26th year, Poetry Corners is coordinated by the Bainbridge Island Poet Laureate Program as part of National Poetry Month, launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996 as a way to celebrate poetry’s integral role in our lives and culture.
More information and submission guidelines can be found on the Bainbridge Island Poet Laureate website: bainbridgeislandpoetlaureate.org.
