This Coming Weekend, Slap on your Running Shoes and Participate in the Trillium Trail Run; on Monday go inside and listen to the soothing sounds of Crescendo

Run for the trails! The Trillium Trail Run 10K/5K and Kids Fun Run returns to Bainbridge Island Saturday, May 10, a benefit to acquire, build and maintain new Bainbridge Island trails.

Early-bird registration for the timed event is now open! Cost is $35 for the 10K run and $30 for the 5K, with all proceeds supporting trail projects on Bainbridge Island. The Kids Fun Run is free.

Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic course from Battle Point Park, along the Forest to Sky Trail, looping among the great firs of the Grand Forest and over scenic Hilltop meadow.

Celebrate the Season with a Concert Performed by Crescendo at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church 

Come celebrate the sunny season ahead with a concert by Crescendo on Monday May 12.

“Here Comes the Sun” starts at 7 p.m. at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church, 11042 Sunrise Drive NE, Bainbridge Island. The concert is free – but donations are happily accepted.

Sit back and celebrate warm days ahead with a song list that ranges from Broadway to standards and pop. These include Bob Dylan’s “The Times, They Are A-Changin’”; Beatles’ favorites “When I’m 64” and “Here Comes the Sun”; as well as “May It Be” from “The Lord of the Rings”; the Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations”; “For Good” from “Wicked” and “Closer to Fine” as featured in the “Barbie” movie.

Crescendo is led by Wendi Olinger with accompaniment by Owen Espinosa. The group of 36 singers is part of Ovation Performing Arts Northwest, a nonprofit, Bainbridge-based theater and performance group. For more information, please go to ovationmtb.com/crescendo.
