As the Dog Days of Summer Start to Wane, There’s Still A Lot Happening!

With the end of August quickly approaching and the first day of school just two weeks away, there’s still a lot of summer fun in store! Here’s a snapshot of just some of the things happening:

August 2023 events imagesSOUNDS OF SUMMER AT BATTLE POINT PARK – August 23rd from 6:30pm to 8:30pm –  Nate Botsford‘s band brings the party with their country rock hybrid style and will surely get you on your feet!

MUSIC ON THE GREEN presents Psycho Sushi – August 25th from 6pm to 8pm – Psycho Sushi formed 14 years ago and is a Bainbridge-based 6-piece band that plays an eclectic mix of blues-based rock, soul, funk, and rockabilly tunes. Bring a blanket and have an evening picnic on Winslow Green!

MOVIES IN THE PARK at Battle Point ParkAugust 25th – Movies begin approximately 30 minutes after sunset | FREE – this week its Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (PG-13)

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FARMERS’ MARKET at Town Square – every Saturday from April 1st to November’s end from 10am to 2pm.

THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND CLASSIC CAR CRUISE-IN – August 29th at 5pm – takes place at the Bainbridge First Baptist Church, at the corner of Highway 305 and Madison Avenue. Grab a blanket or a few lawn chairs and bring the family by for hotdogs, hamburgers and classic cars. This is the last Cruise-In of the year, so don’t miss out!

SOUNDS OF SUMMER at Battle Point Park – August 30th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm – Backstreet Jellyroll is a celebration of the powerful music of Van Morrison, one of the most revered and significant songwriters of the rock era.

FRIST FRIDAY ART WALK at the Library and Downtown Winslow – September 1st from 6pm to 8pm

MUSIC ON THE GREEN presents Sharks of the Salish Sea – September 1st from 6pm to 8pm. Sharks of the Salish Sea are a heavy hitting melodic punk band that hail from the cold shores of the Salish Sea in Washington State. Bring a blanket and have an evening picnic on Winslow Green!
