First Friday Art Walk – November 5, 2021

Winslow Way and surrounding area, Downtown Bainbridge Island
First Friday of every month, 6-8 PM

Spend an evening experiencing all that downtown Bainbridge has to offer. Many galleries, shops and businesses will be participating this month showcasing the art of our talented creative community. Afterwards, stop by one of our many restaurants for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, or dinner.

Enjoy a fall evening with a stroll through downtown visiting your favorite businesses and restaurants, shopping for gifts or items for yourself and your home. The walk begins on Winslow Way (near the ferry terminal) from 6pm to 8pm. *Please adhere to WA State Covid guidelines, as well as guidelines instituted by individual businesses.

Millstream art gallery and store offers a wide variety of unique gifts and art created by local artists as well as artists throughout the Pacific Northwest. This month, they are proud to feature artist Christopher Mathie. Christopher is an abstract expressionist who draws upon his personal interests in psychology, philosophy, metaphysics and observations of the natural world to create energetic paintings. His work is represented in galleries throughout the Pacific Northwest. Millstream is located at 122 Winslow Way E.

Jeffrey Moose Gallery is pleased to welcome back artist Stephen Rock. Stephen has worked in many mediums, such as ink, paint, steel and wood sculpture, printmaking and even scrimshaw. His show, “The Gardener’s Journal V”, which is part of a popular series he began exhibiting at the Seattle Art Museum’s Rental/Sales Gallery, and will exhibit a new group of floral images made with pigmented inkjet on paper, hand colored with watercolor and collage, mounted to board. The gallery is located at 181 Winslow Way East, Suite F.

Bergh Images Fine Art Photography will feature fine art photographer, Andrew (Andy) Bergh’s images of Bainbridge Island—the images will be displayed in different mediums, including fine art acrylic, metal, and canvas prints. The gallery will be featuring Andy’s images of Bainbridge Island, and will hold two drawings for a free 18×24 matted print of the winner’s choice ($135 value).  In addition, there will be live guitar music on the terrace in front of the gallery as well as wine and small bites. The gallery is located at 400 Winslow Way E, Suite 115.

Island Life Artisan Gifts is one of the island’s newest shops, featuring the work of local artist, Alex Sanso. Alex has been creating unique and vibrant Bainbridge Island gifts, art and souvenirs that celebrate the spirit of the island since 2013. Her new shop showcases all of her creations, as well as art by other local artists. Join her on Friday, when @DJ Sidecar, aka Gary Bedell, will be spinning REAL records and setting the vibe to kick off the holiday shopping season. Wine, soft drinks, and Covid-safe snacks will be served. The shop is located at 424 Winslow Way E.

Fob Fridays – many local businesses downtown are participants in Fob Fridays (Bainbridge Island Senior/Community Center members receive 10% on Fridays with their BISCC fob).
