Rolling Bay Music Club Announces Inaugural Dahlia Farm Music Festival on Bainbridge Island Saturday August 15th

Rolling Bay Music Club will debut the first-ever Dahlia Farm Music Festival, a vibrant new all-ages summer music festival taking place on Saturday August 15 at the beloved Suyematsu Farms on Bainbridge Island. The inaugural event will feature a full day of music, community gathering and the celebration of the Historic Suyematsu Farms

Set against the backdrop of one of Bainbridge Island’s most iconic working farms, the festival will bring together an exciting lineup of Pacific Northwest musicians, local food vendors, artists, families, and community members for a full day of live music and celebration. The festival’s lineup includes performances by acclaimed local artists including Mary Lambert, Amelia Day, Brittany Davis, Rae Isla, Lo Pony, and Thistle Band.

“While the music alone makes for a compelling event, what really sets this apart is the mission behind it,” notes Michi Suzuki, one of the event’s organizers. “Rolling Bay Music Club is a new nonprofit founded by Jackie Costigan to help address some of the biggest challenges facing today’s live music ecosystem—from artists struggling to earn sustainable incomes to venues and promoters navigating increasingly difficult economics. Rather than working within the existing model, the organization is building a community-supported, artist-first approach designed to strengthen live music for the long term.”

“This festival is about music, joy, inclusivity, and creating meaningful community experiences in beautiful outdoor spaces,” says Costigan, founder of Rolling Bay Music Club. “We wanted to create something that feels welcoming, celebratory, and deeply rooted in local culture and connection.”

Created as a safe and inclusive gathering space for LGBTQIA+ community members, allies, and families, the Dahlia Farm Music Festival will feature live music throughout the day alongside local food vendors, artisan makers, and farm experiences. The festival is presented in partnership with Seattle Pride, with a portion of proceeds supporting Seattle Pride’s
youth programs.

“Rolling Bay Music Club’s commitment to bringing people together through the arts is exactly what our community needs right now,” notes Patti Hearn, Executive Director of Seattle Pride Foundation. “This partnership amplifies what both organizations do best: Rolling Bay reaches new audiences through music, and we deepen our capacity to support LGBTQIA2S+ youth who need spaces where they belong.  When artists and venues align around a shared purpose, that’s when real change happens.”

During the festival, attendees can also enjoy U-Pick dahlias at the farm (additional purchase required).
