PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap Present: “PAWSjama Party” Virtual Gala Fundraiser

In 1975, the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) was founded. Since that time, PAWSBINK has become a thriving, vital presence on Bainbridge Island and in North Kitsap. Through education, awareness, and financial aid, PAWSBINK is realizing its vision of reducing pet overpopulation and the unnecessary euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals while facilitating responsible, caring relationships between people and their pets.

Because of the strong support of our Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap community, PAWSBINK has been able to make a dramatic difference in the health and well-being of local pets for 46 years. Their services include adoption; veterinary financial aid; spay/neuter assistance; Pets and Loving Seniors (PALS), which places harder-to-adopt senior animals in the homes of limited-income senior adults, with food, litter, and veterinary care all provided by PAWSBINK; and the SafeHarbor program, providing free housing and care for pets of families in crisis, including hospitalization due to COVID-19 (click here for a list of their services).

However, like many non-profits, PAWSBINK only thrives through the generosity of the community it supports.

PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap is taking its annual gala fundraiser online again this year, bringing together animal lovers from around the region for entertainment, a live auction, games—and a very worthy cause. The money raised at their annual gala helps fund the vital programs that PAWSBINK provides our community, including adoption services, veterinary financial aid, and spay/neuter assistance.

This year, they’re embracing the virtual platform by upping the fun—and the comfort! Under the “PAWSjama Party” theme, attendees are encouraged to get comfy in their PJs and sweats while indulging in treats provided by PAWSBINK.

Here’s what to expect:
• Gift bags: Prior to the event, PAWSBINK volunteers will drop off a gift package containing tasty treats for humans and pets and other goodies from their sponsors.
• Wags to Riches drawing: One lucky winner will receive a package of lotto scratch tickets to try their luck and have a little fun.
• Fun & games: Enjoy bingo, trivia, and other virtual games.
• Live auction: Bid on a host of exciting prizes, including a wine tasting trip to Sonoma Valley, a camping equipment package, a 5-night stay in sunny Maui, a Bainbridge Police Boat ride-along, and much more!
• Great stories: See the impact of your donation dollars with heartwarming “tails” from some of the people and pets PAWSBINK has supported over the past year.
